2024 Season Opener & Celebration of the Horse

We kicked off the season with a bang!


Denver Polo Club kicked off its 2024 season with a Sunday Funday and Celebration of the Horse, presented by Purple Wave. The day included three exhibition games:


  • Wide Open vs. Provaci Prosecco/Fortune Wok to Table
  • Purple Wave vs. UBS
  • Bentley Denver vs. DPC


Between the matches,
the Colorado Stars & Stripes and Girls of the West presented the flag and Bentley Denver ushered players onto the field before the 2nd match. Later in the day, spectators helped to repair the field during a traditional divot stomp courtesy of Bentley Denver, with a sip of prosecco provided by Fortune Wok to Table.


Polo was not the only discipline making a splash over the weekend. Celebration of the Horse also hosted gymkhana, dressage and hunter-jumper competitions throughout the weekend, with competitors hailing from around Colorado and beyond. Prizes were awarded by Purple Wave Auction. Congratulations to everyone who participated — thank you for joining us!
